Abby joined Chick-fil-A in 2017. She has served for various Chick-fil-As in the region in marketing and training. She joined the Chick-fil-A Clemmons team as the Training Director and was promoted to Operations Director of the Bermuda Run location in June 2023. She is passionate about seeing others grow and creating a remarkable experience for our guests.
Abby Bond
Esther Clifton
Esther joined Chick-fil-A in 2014 and has served various locations in both North Carolina and Virginia. She was promoted to Training Director in 2018 at North Carolina location, where she found her passion for coaching and inspiring her team. Esther later joined Bermuda Run in early 2024 as a manager before her promotion. Esther demonstrates a servant’s heart and strives to give each guest a memorable and cared for visit.
Derric Maddry
Derric Maddry serves as our Back of House Director. He joined Chick-fil-A in the summer of 2023 as a Manager before his promotion. Derric is passionate about seeing his team grow and become excellent at serving our guests while providing them a remarkable experience.
Thom joined Chick-fil-A early in 2022 in the role of Director of Talent, Engagement, & Development and is passionate about people and their growth in the CFA family and their personal lives. Thom says he loves the people he works with and the customers he serves. Thom has decades of management and people development experience with the military, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, and Lowe’s Home Improvement. He is the author of the leadership development book, “Don’t Lead By Example.” He has SHRM-SCP credentials.
Thom Hayes
AJ Highsmith joined the Chick-fil-A team in early 2023 and serves as the Director of Operations for the Clemmons location. Having held previous positions of leadership with other companies, he looks to lean on that experience to help equip, inspire and lead the team at CFA. HIs main duties are to ensure the overall profitability, safety, efficiency and effectiveness of our restaurant. AJ grew up in this area and is passionate about pouring back into this community. The guest experience is top of mind and he recognizes the unique opportunity we have to change someone’s day with hot, fresh food and a warm smile.

Byron rejoined the Chick-fil-A team in April of 2023. Byron has over thirty years of leadership and retail experience. In October of 2023, he took on the role of Front of House Director for our Clemmons location. Byron is passionate about developing servant leaders who can deliver hot and fresh food with a smile. Byron has a desire to never stop growing as a leader. He has a deep desire to develop self led leaders who lead with joy to deliver an amazing guest experience.
Joseph Kissinger
Joseph Kissinger joined Chick-fil-A in the summer of 2018. He was promoted to manager in early 2021, and he now serves as the Kitchen Director at the Clemmons location. He desires to continue developing himself and our team by demonstrating care toward each team member and by sharing what he has learned. Joseph strives to quickly serve hot, crave-able food in a clean and safe environment. He knows that there is always room for growth and improvement and aims to push the team with care to constantly become better, both individually and as a whole.
